Triumph has unveiled all seven custom Scrambler motorcycles entered in its 2026 Originals competition. The public can now choose a favourite through Triumph’s website, with voting closing at 1pm on September 22. The winner is due to be announced later in 2026, and the public vote will be combined with the decisions of an expert judging team.

The entries come from the UK, Canada, China, France, Spain, Italy and the US. This year’s “Time Capsule” brief asked each creator to look back to an era or decade when scrambler motorcycles stood out, then express that character through contemporary design and craftsmanship. It is a historical reference point rather than a request for a literal period replica.

Four Triumph bases for seven builds

Motos Illimitées in Canada and FCR Original in France chose the Scrambler 1200 XE. China’s BVL Garage and the UK’s Stockwell Design worked from the Scrambler 900. Triumph Columbia River in the US selected the Scrambler 1200 X, while Tamarit Motorcycles from Spain and Italy’s South Garage Motor Co chose the Scrambler 400 XC. The seven builders therefore span four models in Triumph’s range.

The Stockwell Design entry, led by Charlie Stockwell, looks to scrambler heritage from the 1960s and 1970s. Stockwell said the bike was intended to suggest a machine that had travelled around the world, returned to England and passed through muddy lanes. That idea places the build’s “Time Capsule” inspiration in a travelled, weathered setting rather than treating the past as a static museum piece.

The judging team includes Steve Sargent, Triumph Motorcycles’ Chief Product Officer; Chase McQueen; bestselling author Eric Hendricx; Satoshi, co-founder and lead mechanic of Japan’s Fonk Motorcycles; and German motorcycle journalist Rolf Henniges, founder of FUEL magazine.
