Ramiro Vergez Kenny is preparing to cross Argentina from Ushuaia to La Quiaca, covering 4,472 km (2,779 miles) in less than 70 hours. The planned ride, aboard a 2020 Moto Guzzi V85 TT, is scheduled for 19–22 November 2026 and aims to move beyond the existing 74-hour 37-minute benchmark.

The route begins at Ushuaia on Argentina’s southern tip and ends at La Quiaca, near the country’s northern border with Bolivia. It is a public-road endurance challenge rather than a simple distance exercise, with major changes in geography, elevation and road conditions along the way.

Travel to the starting point is scheduled for 14 November, ahead of the main attempt window. Vergez Kenny is a 55-year-old Argentine mechanical engineer and motorcycle racer, and this project combines long-distance riding with a deliberately technology-focused way of sharing the journey.

The V85 TT becomes Grizzly211

The motorcycle has been named Grizzly211, which is also the identity of the wider project. It is a Moto Guzzi V85 TT powered by an 853cc transverse V-twin. GPS tracking, onboard cameras, the Grizzly Live platform and a Starlink Mini satellite system will support the attempt.

Together, these systems are intended to let viewers follow the rider’s location and progress while the crossing is under way. That makes Grizzly211 more than a sub-70-hour target: the technology is built into the concept of turning a demanding Argentina crossing into a live, shared experience for riders and spectators following from home.
