BMW Motorrad has released a teaser for a fully faired sports motorcycle that is expected to become the third member of its F450 family. The machine is widely expected to be called the F450 RR, but BMW has not yet confirmed its name or specification. The company has scheduled the full reveal for 15 October at 4pm.

The dark image shows only part of the motorcycle, but its fairing appears to include aerodynamic winglets. A single front disc also points towards a relatively light or middleweight sports bike. The same teaser was shared by BMW Motorrad’s official UK Instagram account, a potentially significant detail given that the earlier G310 RR was not sold in every market, including the UK.

The F450 line began with the F450 GS adventure model and continued with the road-focused F450 R, officially announced in September 2026. An early press test of the F450 GS took place in Sicily earlier this year. BMW’s next launch will extend the family into fully faired sports-bike territory.

What BMW’s third F450 could offer

BMW has not released the RR’s official output, weight or equipment. Based on the existing F450 models, power is expected to be around or just below 50 bhp. That would allow the motorcycle to remain within the A2 category, although this remains a projection until BMW publishes the final figure. Weight is expected to be approximately 180 kg, putting the bike in the same general area as comparable offerings from Honda, Kawasaki and Aprilia.

The anticipated electronics package includes an IMU-controlled ABS system and traction control, with sports riding modes and possibly an optional track mode also expected. These features have not been confirmed by BMW. The F450 R is priced at £6,395 and the F450 GS at £6,990, giving a useful reference point for the new sports model; the expectation is that the TVS-built RR will remain a relatively affordable option in its class.

BMW’s October presentation should clarify the motorcycle’s final name, engine output, weight, equipment and pricing. Until then, the silhouette confirms the direction of the project more clearly than its technical details: the F450 family is gaining a faired sports-bike member, rather than another adventure or naked model.
