BMW will present the F 450 RR on 15 October at 17:00. The new motorcycle is a fully faired sportbike developed for the A2 licence category, bringing a sharper sporting focus to the manufacturer’s emerging F 450 family.

The third F 450

The RR appears set to join the range as its third member. The same platform already underpins the F 450 GS, an A2 adventure motorcycle that has reached British dealers and takes the place of the G 310 GS. The family also includes the F 450 R naked bike, which is based around a 420 cc twin-cylinder engine. Spy photographs released before the presentation had already provided an early indication of the RR’s design.

The most important aspect of the F 450 RR is the combination of a full fairing with A2 compatibility. That licence category limits output to 35 kW, putting BMW’s new model in front of riders who want the shape and riding position of a sportbike while remaining within their licence restrictions.

Price and timing

BMW has not announced the F 450 RR’s price. As a reference point within the family, the F 450 R starts at €6,490 in Germany, where its first deliveries are scheduled for June 2027. The RR is expected to reach dealers by spring 2027 at the latest.
