Toprak Razgatlioglu returns to Mandalika for the 2026 MotoGP event, carrying the significance of a circuit that marked the beginning of his WorldSBK championship story. This time he will tackle it with Pramac Yamaha during a demanding rookie season, rather than on the Yamaha superbike that took him to his first world title.

Razgatlioglu secured that maiden WorldSBK crown in the 2021 season finale. He followed it by winning all three Indonesian races the next year, then added another victory and two runner-up finishes in 2023. Mandalika later disappeared from the WorldSBK calendar, making the 2026 visit a return to familiar asphalt in a very different category.

The Turkish rider still draws confidence from his memories of the circuit, but does not treat his previous record as a shortcut to MotoGP performance. He says the prototype demands a different riding style and therefore brings a new challenge even at a track where he has enjoyed considerable success. Razgatlioglu has nevertheless made clear that he intends to give his maximum effort on the return.

Miller brings experience as Pramac seeks a reset

Jack Miller has contested all four MotoGP events held at Mandalika. His best result there remains fourth in the inaugural 2022 race, when he was riding for Ducati and the event took place in extremely wet conditions. Miller says he enjoys both the circuit and Indonesia’s warmer climate, and is looking forward to racing there again in front of the Indonesian crowd.

Pramac arrives without a point from either of the previous two rounds. Team director Gino Borsoi wants the squad to recover the competitiveness it showed around the middle of the season, identifying Indonesia as a possible turning point. His message is that Pramac and Yamaha must work more effectively through the final races and turn the effort invested in the project into the stronger results the team and its riders believe are within reach.
