Suzi Perry and Neil Hodgson nominated for Broadcast Sport Awards
The MotoGP presenter and analyst are recognised in the individual categories, while TNT Sports’ ghost cam is shortlisted for its use of race data.

Suzi Perry and Neil Hodgson are nominees at the Broadcast Sport Awards, in the Sports Presenter of the Year and Pundit of the Year categories respectively. Both categories contain eight names, giving MotoGP a place in an awards programme with a strong football presence.
Perry’s category also includes nominees such as Gabby Logan and Gary Lineker. Hodgson, a former WorldSBK champion and MotoGP racer, is in contention for Pundit of the Year alongside Alan Shearer, Ally McCoist and Wayne Rooney, among others. The nominations put motorcycle racing into the awards conversation through both on-screen presentation and specialist analysis.
Hodgson said the nomination was a major honour and argued that recognition of this kind can help motorcycle racing gain greater visibility in the United Kingdom. His response links the individual nomination with a broader desire to give the sport a stronger profile among British viewers.
Recognition for the ghost cam
TNT Sports’ ghost cam is also nominated, in the Best Use Of Data In A Sports Broadcast category. The feature overlays fast laps from two MotoGP riders and identifies the parts of the lap where one gains or loses time against the other. It turns the difference between two performances into a visual comparison that can be followed immediately during a broadcast.
The winners will be announced at a ceremony at the London Hilton on 5 November. MotoGP is therefore represented across three different aspects of the awards: presentation, race analysis and the use of data to explain how riders’ performance changes around a lap.
