The Austrian MotoGP has acquired a home-race atmosphere for Toprak Razgatlioglu. The Pramac Racing rider arrived in Spielberg and quickly saw the scale of the Turkish presence around the Red Bull Ring, where he will have his own grandstand. Razgatlioglu said he was excited to see so many Turkish flags and supporters at the circuit.

The accompanying figures describe Austria as home to Europe’s third-largest group of Turkish citizens, numbering more than 117,000. Germany is listed first with 1.3 million. The three-time WorldSBK champion is also hoping that rain across the weekend can help him produce a special result in front of the Turkish contingent. In his comments, he suggested that difficult conditions could provide the opportunity he needs, without naming a specific finishing target.

Razgatlioglu is also discussing a possible home MotoGP event in Turkey. He confirmed that talks with MotoGP Sports Entertainment remain ongoing about bringing Istanbul Park back to the calendar, with 2028 under consideration. He said the circuit is ready to host a race and referred to a five-year Formula 1 contract at the venue. A return to Istanbul would give him a genuine home round, but also extra pressure: Razgatlioglu said he would then need to deliver a particularly strong result in front of his supporters.
