Lusail hosts the 20th round of the 2026 MotoGP World Championship from 6 to 8 November, with the Qatar weekend carrying a decisive points angle. Marc Marquez leads the injured Jorge Martin by 44 points and can seal the title at the end of the event if he stretches that advantage to 74 points.

The schedule opens on Friday, 6 November, with FP1 from 11:45 to 12:30 GMT and Practice from 16:00 to 17:00 GMT. Saturday, 7 November, brings FP2 at 11:00–11:30 GMT, qualifying at 11:40–12:20 GMT and the Sprint at 16:00 GMT. On Sunday, 8 November, warm-up is set for 11:40–11:50 GMT, followed by the Grand Prix at 16:00 GMT.

This is not a routine race weekend. Five riders are confirmed to be absent from Qatar, while Yamaha has withdrawn both of its teams from the round. The event is also surrounded by uncertainty because of threats that the conflict between the United States and Iran could escalate in the coming days, adding a wider complication to the published sporting schedule.
