Pedro Acosta’s expected move from KTM to Ducati is likely to reshape his commercial ties as well as his MotoGP seat. The Spanish rider is expected to leave Red Bull and join Monster Energy when he moves to Ducati in 2027. Ducati already has an agreement with Monster Energy, providing the commercial setting for the prospective switch.

Acosta has been associated with Red Bull since the 2019 Rookies Cup. Monster Energy’s social-media posts point to the rider joining its athlete stable from 2027, although the sponsorship change has not been presented as a formal announcement. Marc Márquez took another path after leaving Red Bull, moving to Estrella Galicia rather than switching directly to Monster Energy.

The possible change arrives during an important stage of Acosta’s career. He won the Moto3 title in 2021 in his rookie Grand Prix season, followed it with the Moto2 crown in 2023 and entered MotoGP in 2024. His first premier-class Grand Prix victory came at the Red Bull Ring, and he has also won Sprints at Buriram and Sepang. Acosta’s initial Ducati contract covers the first two years of the new 850cc and Pirelli era. Monster Energy is also expected to lose Fabio Quartararo to Red Bull, in connection with the French rider’s Honda deal.
