MotoGP title fight moves to the Red Bull Ring
The Austrian Grand Prix runs from 18–20 September after Marc Marquez’s San Marino double put him level with Jorge Martin.

MotoGP heads to the Red Bull Ring for the Austrian Grand Prix on 18–20 September, the next round of the 2026 season. It follows the San Marino Grand Prix, the championship’s 14th round, which changed the picture at the front of the standings.
Marc Marquez won both the sprint and the main race at Misano. The double victory moved him to the championship lead for the first time, level on points with Aprilia rider Jorge Martin. Martin finished fifth after briefly leading the race.
Marco Bezzecchi started the grand prix from pole position but crashed on the opening lap, leaving him 33 points behind the championship lead. The Austrian weekend will therefore bring Marquez and Martin back into direct contention at the top, while Bezzecchi arrives with a deficit to recover after his San Marino crash.
