MotoGP’s 2027 schedule keeps the championship at 22 rounds while introducing its next technical chapter: 850 cc engines and Pirelli tyres. The venue map changes in two places. Adelaide’s street circuit is scheduled to take over the Australian Grand Prix from Phillip Island, and Argentina returns to the calendar in place of Hungary’s Balaton Park.

A return to Buenos Aires

The Argentine round is set for 9-11 April 2027 at the revamped Autódromo Oscar y Juan Gálvez in Buenos Aires. The circuit last hosted a motorcycle Grand Prix in 1999. Argentina’s comeback follows the departure of Termas de Río Hondo from the MotoGP calendar after the 2025 season. Adelaide is scheduled for 14 November and will host MotoGP for the first time.

Both the Argentine and Adelaide events remain conditional on homologation. The campaign is due to start at Buriram in Thailand on 5-7 March, then finish in Valencia on 26-28 November. A summer pause is planned from mid-July to mid-August, ahead of the British Grand Prix. The result is a calendar that retains its 22-round scale but arrives with two notable changes of setting, at the same time as the championship adopts the 850 cc formula and Pirelli tyres.
