MotoGP’s 2026 campaign moves from Austria to Japan for its next round. The Japanese Grand Prix is scheduled at Motegi from Friday 2 October to Sunday 4 October, according to Crash.net.

The Austrian event was round 15 at the Red Bull Ring and completed a back-to-back with the San Marino Grand Prix. Pedro Acosta recovered from crashing out of the lead of Saturday’s Sprint to secure his first grand prix race win on a KTM, doing so on the manufacturer’s home soil. Aprilia’s Jorge Martin and Marco Bezzecchi followed him across the finish line.

Bezzecchi extended his championship advantage over Ducati’s Marc Marquez to 12 points. Marquez finished fifth, more than seven seconds from victory. Austria is the final European round until late November, with the schedule now continuing through Asia and Australia.
