Miller and Razgatlioglu take a different kind of race at Motegi
The Pramac Yamaha riders turned a go-kart event into chaotic entertainment as Miller approaches an expected move away from MotoGP.

The Motegi race weekend produced a very different kind of spectacle when Jack Miller and Toprak Razgatlioglu joined a go-kart race. The Pramac Yamaha riders are sharing their first MotoGP season in 2026, but the event offered a far less conventional contest than the one they usually face on two wheels.
Miller complains about the limited performance of his kart and starts looking for a quicker route. His answer is to cut across the inside of the circuit, pass around parked cars and wave to spectators as he goes. Razgatlioglu, meanwhile, appears to travel backwards on the track while other riders push him forwards. Footage of the unusual contest was published on the championship’s YouTube channel.
The scene is especially notable because Miller and Razgatlioglu have become one of the grid’s most charismatic pairings, even as Yamaha struggles to match Ducati, Aprilia, KTM and Honda. The same event had already created official racing fallout: Marc Marquez was reprimanded after being replaced by a stunt double.
For Miller, the light-hearted appearance comes at a turning point. He is expected to move to WorldSBK next season, with Moto2 rider Izan Guevara taking his place. That change is expected to end the Australian’s 12-year spell in the premier class, where he has claimed four wins.
