Jack Miller promises something special for his Phillip Island farewell
The Australian is preparing for his final home MotoGP race before an expected move to WorldSBK next season.

The 2026 Australian MotoGP will be Jack Miller’s last home appearance in the premier class. Miller is expected to move to WorldSBK next season, giving his Phillip Island weekend the character of a farewell. The circuit itself is also approaching a final chapter, with this event set to be the last MotoGP race held there.
Miller’s Phillip Island record includes a best MotoGP finish of third, achieved with Pramac in 2019. His most memorable Australian performance may instead be the Moto3 victory he claimed in 2014. The circuit has since given his connection with the rider a permanent landmark: turn four became Miller Corner in 2022. A few days later, Alex Marquez was involved in an incident at the same turn.
Miller has described the upcoming home grand prix as an emotional occasion and has promised fans something special. He has kept the nature of that plan private, leaving the gesture as an extra point of intrigue for a weekend already carrying personal and historic significance. It will be Miller’s final MotoGP race in front of his home crowd, as well as Phillip Island’s last appearance on the championship calendar.
Fernandez steps into the Pramac Yamaha garage
Augusto Fernandez will line up alongside Miller for Prima Pramac Yamaha after Toprak Razgatlioglu was ruled out for the rest of the season. Razgatlioglu sustained a shoulder injury at Mandalika two weeks earlier. Miller wished his team-mate well for the operation and recovery, hoping to see him return at full strength.
The Phillip Island weekend is also a significant return for Fernandez. It will be his first MotoGP race since his Silverstone wildcard and his first race at the circuit since his last full-time MotoGP season in 2024. Fernandez has welcomed the opportunity to work with Prima Pramac Yamaha and intends to make the most of the races ahead.
