Aprilia leaves Trackhouse battle open at Mandalika
Raul Fernandez and Ai Ogura remain mathematically in the title fight, so team orders are not yet part of Aprilia’s plan.

Aprilia will not impose team orders at Mandalika while any of its riders still has a mathematical route to the MotoGP title. That leaves Raul Fernandez and Ai Ogura free to pursue their own results, while still aiming to maximize Trackhouse’s points haul.
The standings explain why that position remains in place. Jorge Martin leads Marc Marquez by two points, with Marco Bezzecchi third and 49 points behind Martin. Ogura is 96 points adrift and Fernandez 117 points back. With six rounds remaining and up to 222 points still available, both Trackhouse riders remain inside the mathematical title threshold.
Fernandez arrives in Indonesia with victory as his clear priority. He placed any discussion of team orders in the final two races, and only if the championship situation makes it necessary by then. His recent form includes a win at Silverstone in August, while he also scored his maiden Sprint podium at Mandalika last season.
Ogura offered a cautious but not passive approach. He said he would not make a reckless move against Martin or Bezzecchi, yet would still attempt an overtake if he judged it could be done safely. The decision, in his view, depends on the positions and championship circumstances of everyone involved.
Mandalika gives Aprilia an opportunity to take more points away from Marc Marquez after the RS-GP’s strong showing at the circuit last year. Martin and Ogura missed that Indonesian race through injury, whereas all four Aprilia riders have already won a Grand Prix this season. Fernandez has cautioned that last year is not a reliable template, however: there is one fewer tyre this time and the weekend will require a different management approach.
