2026 Austrian MotoGP: The full Red Bull Ring schedule
Round 15 runs from 18-20 September, with Marc Marquez and Jorge Martin level at the top of the championship.

The 2026 Austrian MotoGP arrives at the Red Bull Ring from 18-20 September for round 15 of the world championship. Marc Marquez reaches the circuit as the points leader after taking both the Sprint and Grand Prix victories at Misano last weekend. He is level on points with Jorge Martin, but sits officially ahead because he has five Grand Prix wins this season, compared with Martin’s one.
Martin briefly moved ahead during the Misano race before dropping back with arm-pump problems. The report says he could consider surgery if the issue returns in Austria. Marco Bezzecchi suffered a bigger setback: he crashed while leading and lost 33 points relative to the championship lead.
Martin and Bezzecchi are chasing Aprilia’s first win at the Red Bull Ring, a venue where Ducati has historically been the benchmark. The RS-GP had already outperformed the Desmosedici on the special stiffer rear-tyre construction at the start of the season, giving Aprilia a basis for optimism. Pedro Acosta is another possible contender after podiums at Aragon and Misano, in what is described as his final Austrian appearance for the home KTM team. A year ago, Alex Marquez stood on the Red Bull Ring Sprint podium and Fermin Aldeguer did the same in the Grand Prix. A private Pirelli/850cc test is scheduled for the Monday after the weekend; it is described as the second test of the year involving race riders.
