Mugen, built by Portuguese dealer Mototrofa, has won Honda Customs 2026 overall. The custom Honda CB750 Hornet also topped the On-Road category, helping the seventh edition draw 42,119 online votes from 102 countries.

Voting ran from 12 June to 31 August 2026, with the total up 39% on 2025. The programme added the “On Road vs Off Road – Battle of the Twins” category, pairing custom interpretations of the Honda CB750 Hornet and Honda XL750 Transalp. Ten custom motorcycles were first displayed at Wheels and Waves 2026 in Biarritz, France.

Mugen takes the main prize

Mugen collected 10,092 votes, almost 24% of the overall total and 36% of the On-Road vote. Its streetfighter theme combines deep green paint with gold and carbon-fibre details, backed by a broad set of custom components. Paulo Ferreira, the project’s Creative Director, said the result mattered greatly to Mototrofa and pointed to the team effort, long hours and close attention to detail behind the build.

The 2026 result makes Mototrofa the event’s second repeat winner. MAAN Motocicli Audaci had claimed a second title in 2025, while Mototrofa’s previous Honda Customs victory came in 2021 with the Honda CB650R Fenix.

Saharja gives the Transalp a Dakar theme

The Off-Road title went to Saharja, a Honda XL750 Transalp created by Italy’s DRS Custom Cycles. The Dakar-inspired machine received more than 4,800 votes, accounting for 36% of the category total.

DRS equipped it with a handmade navigation tower, digital road book and TFT speedometer, then added HRC Tricolour-inspired colours. The redesigned front bodywork incorporates LED lights; the rest of the specification includes crash bars, an aluminium engine guard, handmade aluminium side tanks, knobby tyres and a high-mounted exhaust. DRS owner Paolo Di Russo said the project was developed with Honda Italia’s support and described the transformation as a demanding challenge.
