B.R.M Chronographes has turned V-twin motorcycle design into a desk clock priced at £4,980. The French watchmaker says production will be limited to 20 units, making the object a deliberately small-run addition to the motorcycle-inspired product market.

The construction uses solid aluminium. Two-tone satin finishing is applied to the fins, while lacquered rocker covers sit on top of the structure and strengthen its miniature-engine appearance. This is not a conventional clock with a motorcycle-themed graphic: the case is arranged around the visual architecture of a V-twin.

The dial occupies the space between the two cylinders and sits inside a screwed bezel. Two pierced arms support the bezel as they descend towards the base in an X arrangement. Buyers can choose from six colourways: Opaline white, France blue, Horizon blue, Saffron yellow, Coral orange and Garnet red.

A desk clock priced like a motorcycle

The price becomes more striking when placed beside the figures cited by Visordown. A new Honda GB350S is listed at £3,999, while a Royal Enfield Bullet 350 is listed at £4,649. At £4,980, the B.R.M. clock is therefore more expensive than either of those motorcycles on the comparison’s stated prices.

Visordown also points to BMW coffee machines inspired by boxer engines, launched at €7,900 including VAT, with the same comparison giving the figure as £6,860. Ducati’s Barista M3 1926 Limited Edition Carbon Fibre by Ducati is cited at around £1,515. B.R.M.’s product sits within that broader group of expensive, motorcycle-related objects for the home, while its particular selling points are the V-twin form, the six colour options and the claimed 20-unit production run.
